In Dubai the ‘Friday Brunch’ is an institution. So, whether you like it or not, sooner or later you’ll find yourself wandering – lost and excited – among dozens of stands offering dishes from all over the globe.
Although this all-you-can-eat and all-you-can-drink approach is not my favourite dining style, I have to admit that the ‘Baikingu’ Brunch offered by the famous Japanese cusine chain Zuma has definitely won me over!
The reasons are simple: first of all the food is excellent value for money (compared to the usual Dubai prices), and then nothing beats enjoying Japanese cuisine in a restaurant that specialises in this style- especially for those who, like me, only ever eat sushi, sashimi and oysters for Brunch! –
The stands are not as numerous as those in the Westin’s ‘Bubbalicious’ venue, but there is still an infinite number of delicious dishes to choose from and there are also some delicious dishes that you can order directly from the table – such as this one in the photo below.
Of course, as you might expect in any self-respecting Brunch, there is also the inevitable Desserts buffet. Delicious.
I loved these desserts in the photo below! ;)
In addition to the high quality and freshness of the food, another feature of this Brunch that really impressed me is the atmosphere – perfect for those who want to enjoy food and friends in peace without the chaos that there usually is in many of the other local restaurants in the city on Fridays.
